Halifax Central Library is the result of a 10 year journey from it’s inception to the finished product that was successfully delivered by architects Schmidt Hammer Lassen, Fowler Bauld & Mitchell and EllisDon construction.
This is a modern take on a library in an era where our go to media is digital - Halifax Central Library embraces this and provides spaces that act as a cultural hub where ideas are born and shared. The community can book meeting rooms, watch performances or attend lectures or public debate in the Paul O’Regan Hall performance space. This is truly a library of the future.
