About

Julian Brummitt refers to his personal body of work as an investigation of aesthetic anthropology.  His objective is to accelerate and expose the relationship between natural form, technological intervention, and organizational principles through his work in design, writing, and a wide variety of other artistic pursuits.  Born out of the 70's as a former video-game junkie, he formed the Los Angeles Artist Collective in 2005 while acting as the curator for Hangar 1018 Studios, a gallery and collaborative environment set out to foster the downtown Los Angeles arts movement in 2002.  His unorthodox and varied background has involved him in architecture, film, fashion, music, theatre, set design, drawing, mechanics, and nearly every other field he can get his hands into.  In 2007, he began his education at The Southern California Institute of Architecture where he received numerous scholarships and merits for his work.

He currently resides in Savannah, GA where he is has been involved in a number of urban planning projects and other civic works.  He is a designer and draftsman for LKS Architects.
