As my background, I was born in the USA but grew up and studied in Brazil. I have received my bachelor in architecture in 2016 at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), a renowned architecture school in Brazil. In my third year, through a federal program, I had the honor to be selected for a one-year academic program in Madrid, Spain, at the University of Alcala de Henares.
I’ve been working in New York for the past four years at an architecture and interior design firm. I have worked mainly with interior design projects for high end buildings in the city , both commercial and residential. Being part of a small team gave me the opportunity to learn a lot and grow fast. Since the beginning I was given vast responsibilities, and was able to have big input on the development of each project. Therefore, I have vast experience on every project step: from design concepts, design development, bid and filling phase, to shop drawings and construction management. I am also the one responsible for the presentation’s graphic design, renderings and 3D modeling of almost every project in the office, as well as some marketing campaigns.
I also have significant practical work experience back in Brazil, as I worked for almost a year as an architect in an interior design office and did part-time internships in architectural firms since 2013, and in Brazil the internship programs are not just in the summer, but all-year round. Therefore I have experience in interior design, urban planning and graphic design.
Besides the office, I have been improving my skills by taking courses and looking for accreditations that I believe will help me to deliver conscious designs. In 2020 I focused on becoming a WELL AP and at the moment I am studying to achieve my LEED AP. I am also interested in getting my architect license in NYC, which I have already submitted the requested experience hours.
Now, I am looking to make a change by joining a more diverse team and, hopefully, being able to positively impact people’s life. I have the hunger to grow with a company that inspires me, at the same time that it challenges me. I want to collaborate with a team, and also learn from it.
