The RTMC playhouse is a not-for-profit design charette done in collaboration with JBG Companies and Davis Construction. The task was to design a build a playhouse for children that would be auctioned off to the highest bidder, all proceeds going to Rebuilding Together Montgomery County. The Playhouse was to fit on a 8' by 10' palette with no height restrictions. As JBG was the lead contact on the project, we, at STUDIOS Architecture, devised a design that encapsulated the philosophies of the JBG Companies. The playhouse, deemed "Live, Play, Move" spoke to JBG's desire to combine living, working/shoping, and transportation within the framework of a building.
