hello,
my name is jessica, and I will be graduating from the university of arizona in may of 2020. my background is a blend of arts and sciences, being a film photographer and artist while fostering a love for science and experimentation inspired by a mechanical engineer father. my dream is to work as a space architect, and I have spent the last five years preparing to enter the professional field of architecture in order to develop myself to reach that goal. I have interned with three local firms in various capacities: ware malcomb, to develop an understanding of CAD drawing and document construction; glhn architects + engineers, with an emphasis on marketing to learn about SOQs, contracts, and presentations; and rob paulus architects, to practice design and production practices.
in my spare time I enjoy practicing photography on 35mm film, caring for my various pets (1 dog, 2 cats, 2 mice, and an impressive collection of plants), and coaching youth soccer.
