I am a graduating Bachelor of Architecture degree student at The University of Texas at Austin working on the path to licensure. I come from a solid technical background with a strong interest in conceptual design and a passion towards detail and documentation. Through my work at the University of Texas I have an extensive background with digital design tools such as Revit, Rhino, and Adobe, as well as technical skills including model fabrication, woodworking, and CNC milling. I am deeply intrigued n high-performance design and have a strong commitment to sustainability and technological innovation. The opportunity to contribute to the development of sustainable solutions and push the boundaries of engineering and design at an international scale is both inspiring and strongly aligned with my passion for creating a greener future. I believe my academic background; technical knowledge and work experiences have provided me with the credentials needed to thrive as a Designer.
Marmol Radziner, Los Angeles, CA, US, Architectural Intern
-Assembled detail and construction documentation in Revit to successfully create seamless interior conditions
-Developed high definition and highly detailed visualizations of proposals to effectively communicate work to the client
-Researched and evaluated materials and finishes, working closely between manufacturers and suppliers to achieve a sustainable and high-quality finished design
-Collaborated with a team of 5 other designers, delegating work between us and standardizing drawing outputs, all while negotiating between our own design strategy and the desire of the client
-Participated in the design and development, of several 10,000+ sqft residential projects in the Los Angeles area, as well as a series of commercial buildings in Malibu, and a 300+ room serviced apartment complex in Santa Clara, CA.
Paradisa Homes, Austin, TX, US, Architectural Intern
-Produced digital construction drawings of a wide variety of residential and commercial projects, ranging from 2,000 to 16,000sqft in Central Texas
-Fabricated electrical and reflected ceiling plans, focused on providing clear installation instructions and parameters for the construction team
-Compiled and maintained window and door schedules for several projects
-Standardized documentation across different projects, synthesizing work from different designers on the team
-Integrated work and communication between the design and construction teams, both on and off site
The University of Texas at Austin, Austin, TX, US, BArch, Bachelor of Architecture
At the University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture, my studies centered around a comprehensive exploration of sustainability, urban planning, and equitable design. Through coursework and projects, I delved into the principles of sustainable architecture, gaining a deep understanding of energy-efficient design strategies and environmentally conscious material selection. Additionally, I engaged in urban planning studies, examining the complex relationship between the built environment and social equity, with a focus on creating inclusive and accessible spaces for all.
My education at UT Austin also equipped me with a diverse range of graphical skills. I developed proficiency in hand drafting and model fabrication, honing my ability to visually communicate design concepts with precision and artistry. Alongside traditional techniques, I immersed myself in digital documentation and 3D modeling, harnessing advanced software tools to bring architectural visions to life and facilitate effective collaboration with stakeholders.
Furthermore, my coursework extended to furniture design, where I explored the fusion of functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability. I delved into the nuances of site planning and research, analyzing factors such as context, topography, and community needs to inform thoughtful and contextually appropriate design solutions. Additionally, I gained an understanding of material conditions and their impact on architectural design, considering factors such as durability, energy efficiency, and embodied carbon.
Overall, my studies at the University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture have provided me with a well-rounded foundation in sustainable design, urban planning, equitable design principles, graphical skills, furniture design, site planning and research, and material conditions. I am excited to apply this diverse knowledge and skill set to contribute meaningfully to the field and make a positive impact on the built environment.
