Puente Biblio-Tech-Ca is more than a bridge or library; it is a valuable resource that unifies the community around social gathering spaces. The site has a history of lacking resources and violence that were created by physical divisions and lack of social gathering spaces. The redesign of the existing bridge would allow for safe passage over the transportation infrastructure that bisects the neighborhood. The extended bar scheme allows for various programs to stretch across both sides of the light and heavy rail. With a combination of simple pushing, pulling, and subtraction operation we get a skewed bar that tapper towards the westside of the building.
