Located in the heart of one the busiest commercial areas in Seoul (Myeongdong) the media lab wants to create a complete new set of urban space for the citizens of Seoul. The urban strategy focuses in three different aspects: the connection with the underground shopping and transportation system in Seoul, the lack of public land in the district of Myeongdong, and the need to introduce a public cultural facility in the area.
