The firm works in a broad array of architectural needs, including environmental architecture, urban design, landscaping, interior design, and structure engineering consultation. They are involved in the all phases of the architectural process, from idea conception and schematic design through construction documentation.
The core value of Jorge Mastropietro’s architecture is the search for a rational, geometric and economic solution meeting a high design concept. The result is innovative, not always traditional, and forms the signature of its architectural style. Jorge Mastropietro founded Mastropietro & Partners in 1991 in Buenos Aries, Argentina. The firms began as an architectural studio and workshop, where it was involved in designing of many individual and multi-family homes in Argentina. In 1995, the Structural Engineer division was created with the incorporation of Marcelo Mastropietro as Structure Engineer.
In 2002 Jorge Mastropietro moved to New York, where he joined one of the top architectural firms in the world, Rafael Vinoly Architects. While working for Vinoly as project architect and project manager, he gained experience working on large public buildings, including Cleveland Museum of Art, Bard College, and Carrasco International Airport.
In 2007, Jorge Mastropietro founded Jorge Mastropietro Architects (JMA) in New York City.
