Originally built as the Majestic Hotel in 1904 and later renovated in 1932, the Ambassador Hotel in South Dallas was once the city’s oldest luxury hotel. After sitting empty for many years, the hotel was at last slated to be remodeled in 2019 until a fire burned the historic landmark to the ground. In a joint effort to resurrect the iconic structure, OHT Partners teamed up with Corgan as the principal architect to design a luxury multifamily residence – The Ambassador Residences – inspired by the hotel’s original architecture.
Corgan designed a five-story inspired by the original structure and an adjoining seven-story multifamily Class A building on the site, honoring the Ambassador’s distinctive aesthetic.
