Entrepreneurial designer specializing in all areas of residential interior design.  The specific goal - To create interiors that not only exceed client’s wishes but are timeless in appeal regardless of style.  Services range from architectural drawings, construction supervision and  interior finish selection to design, specification and purchasing of interior furnishings.  Projects range in size from condominiums to 10,000 square foot homes in Portland and Los Angeles as well as a number of national locations.

Interior Bliss focuses on the ways bliss can be achieved through a beautifully decorated home.  Divided into smart chapters, with pointers on selecting paint, choosing a focal point, buying furniture and developing a design file as well as other topics. Interior Bliss uses the designer’s tricks of the trade to save money and make enlightened choices to create a home that will remain a delight for years.

As the creator of an interior furnishings company that staged real estate for sale, SFS used a custom approach for each property so people could see their lives in the home.  Conceived and initiated an infrastructure for storing, delivering, installing and removing furniture and staging items in over 60 properties.  Oversaw acquisition of inventory to furnish over 15 homes. Designed brochures, Power Point presentations and marketed to real estate professionals in the Los Angeles region.  Through efficient, responsive service insured profitable result for clients - the properties sold quickly and for top dollar.

Senior Designer    1991-1993,   1996-2000  

Primary designer at an interior design firm that focused on high-end residential and commercial design.  Provided the direction, architectural details, furniture and finishes for multiple clients.  Created architectural documents; managed all interior and construction projects; supervised installation, furnishing and completion of client’s homes in the Los Angeles, Manhattan and Nantucket.

Production Manager    1995-1996

Managed all phases of manufacturing of high-end furniture line encompassing over 150 pieces with multi-million dollars in annual sales.  Primary liaison between sales/administration and various manufacturers to guarantee quality control in fabrication.  Defined and coordinated custom orders; sourced manufacturers of existing pieces; aided in new product development through prototyping and costing for inclusion into furniture collection.  Oversaw consignment and shipping to 14 showrooms.

Owner   1993-1996  

Originator and primary operator of retail business specializing in mixture of vintage furniture, home furnishings and new accessories.  Oversaw all aspects of shop management including administration, bookkeeping, sales, inventory control, customer consultation and staffing.  Responsible for sourcing new and used merchandise, purchasing, shipping and visual display.

Interior designer instrumental in the construction documents, interior design, furnishing specification and documentation for hotel and office projects including: Fairmont Hotel, Washington D.C.; Bel Air Hotel, Los Angeles; Four Seasons Aviara Golf Clubhouse and Trattoria Restaurant, San Diego;  Hyatt Hotel, Long Beach.

Contracted to Design and specify “high roller” suites for Caesar’s Atlantic City.  Managed design and specification for projects including Caesar’s Palace Las Vegas and Renaissance Hotel Long Beach.
