Intermediate Architect

COOKFOX Architects is seeking a practiced Intermediate Architect with experience in exterior wall construction to join our New York City Studio. Candidates should have an interest in working in a collaborative studio environment, and enthusiasm for environmental sustainability and social equity and inclusion.

Candidate qualifications:

• Minimum 6 years professional experience
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture
• The position will require technical knowledge, leading design and development of exterior wall, and coordination with exterior wall consultants when necessary
• Construction Administration experience required
• A strong working knowledge of Revit required
• Knowledge of building codes, standards and structures
• Comfort in a leadership role; experience in working with diverse clients and consultants
• Supervisory and management skills required as well as the ability to guide and mentor architectural staff
• Self-motivated, energetic, and organized, with excellent design skills, and strong graphic and communication skills
• Availability to visit job sites as needed
