Adept is an interdisciplinary development, design and construction group located in Pasadena CA. https://www.adepturban.com/ Our practice has been evolving over 25 years with projects throughout Southern California.  Our projects consist of both in-house projects where we do all aspects of the project from origin, development, design and construction. We also do third-party design work and our construction services for outside entities.  In short, we create our own work with design, production, and construction teams under one roof. Typically, our practice focusses on large-scale multi-family housing that is part of mixed-use and transit-oriented development.  We also specialize in the sustainable adaptive reuse of office buildings into new living environments.  We also have projects that include assisted living senior care and medical/research office developments. More recently we have designed entertainment commercial uses as a catalyst for mixed-use housing. 

Our business trajectory has come from a traditional construction and architectural services base to now seeking greater integration of technology that will directly link design and construction activities for greater efficiency and collaboration.  We are seeking senior staff with demonstrated leadership and experience in all aspects of multi-family and commercial design and construction for mixed-use projects. Institutional building experience is desirable. Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience in using BIM technology to provide integrated contract documents.  Our goal is to provide cost data accounting and pricing as part of the design team for evaluation of design alternatives and financial pro-forma delivery.

Desired Qualifications

• Motivated to work in an integrated non-traditional design focused practice.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in managing Revit software for design and the set up and creation of construction documents as well as construction planning and coordination.
• Experience with Type V, Type III residential/commercial as well as Type I construction for institutional and commercial projects detailing and coordination.
• Ability to work with the construction team and develop detailing for the various building typologies.

Compensation

• Salary Range: Commensurate with experience ($90K-$120K)
• Medical benefits package, 401K plan.
• 2 weeks’ vacation to start.
