Position Overview:
We are seeking an ambitious, accountable, and self-starting Interior Designer/Architect proficient in CAD, SketchUp, and rendering programs like Rhino or equivalent software. This role offers the unique opportunity to participate in the full lifecycle of residential projects, from design to construction. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients, create architectural drawings, draft and submit plans to the city, and contribute to interior design.
You will be exposed to project A-Z, including construction management, scope review, and quality control. This role is perfect for someone looking to grow in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the design-build team to create detailed architectural and interior design plans.
Develop 3D models and high-quality renderings using CAD, SketchUp, and rendering programs like Rhino or similar.
Perform on-site measurements with clients to ensure design accuracy.
Prepare drawings for city submittals and learn the permitting process.
Work with clients to refine their design preferences, ensuring the vision is reflected in the plans.
Oversee construction phases to maintain design integrity and ensure quality control.
Review construction scopes and monitor quality during the building process.
Learn construction management principles by engaging in budget management, scheduling, and overall project coordination.
Participate in interior design decisions, such as selecting materials, finishes, and fixtures.
Drive between job sites as needed.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in CAD, SketchUp, and rendering programs like Rhino or equivalent.
Experience preparing drawings for city submission and an interest in the permitting process.
A degree in interior design, architecture, or a related field.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage construction projects and ensure design execution.
Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel between job sites.
