Staff Accountant

Studio Lourdes seeks a Staff Accountant to join our passionate team and play a vital role in supporting the financial health of our growing design-architecture studio.

The Role

Since design and architecture projects are often unique, staff accountants in these firms need to be adaptable and comfortable with project-based accounting. They also need strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with designers, project managers, and firm leadership.

  • Own accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing. 
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial records.
  • Assist with timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage project accounting tasks, including tracking project costs and budgets.
  • Assist with month-end close procedures and prepare for annual audits.
  • Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and best practices.
  • Provide support to other departments with financial data and analysis.
  • Assist with the project management software (Factor) to create project plans and develop & issue monthly client invoices.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a staff accountant role.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Excel).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with the design/architecture industry a plus.
