Design Manager/Project Architect

Studio Lourdes is seeking a Design Manager/Project Architect who would be responsible for management and coordination of the project delivery process for retail/workplace/hospitality interior projects for significant brands.

The Role

This is your opportunity to work across a range of creative projects for valuable and notable brands within a vibrant and friendly community. The Design Manager will be responsible for:

  • Management and coordination of the project delivery process for projects of variable scale
  • Collaborate with consultants and client consultants to ensure high standards of deliverables
  • Serves as a leading contributor during client meetings
  • Negotiates critical and controversial issues with appropriate parties
  • Develops, documents, and implements design, including detailing, material specifications, research, analytics, calculations, code compliance, and quality control
  • Produces construction documents with a strong sensitivity to design
  • Coordinates the project delivery process with project consultants
  • Attends and conducts site surveys, construction meetings and prepares field reports, answers RFIs, reviews shop drawings, and prepares change bulletins
  • Provides technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff
  • Assists with financial management of all assigned projects
  • Attends and participates in client meetings and is responsible for developing and maintaining positive client relationships
