HansonLA is currently seeking a Project Architect with 10+ years’ experience and demonstrated leadership skills to join our growing team. The appropriate candidate will be proactive, self-motivated, and will have the capability to work efficiently within a collaborative studio. This is an advanced position at HansonLA and is responsible for project management and delivery. As a project lead, the PA will effectively move projects forward, lead the internal team, coordinate with consultants, and develop all items agreed to in the contract.
Responsibilities
Responsible for various portions of project development in the following phases: Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents
Perform code review and work with various governing agencies for code compliance
Coordinate engineering consultants, clients, and other members of the team for medium to large scale projects
Assist in supervising project document control tasks and maintain quality control of such tasks
Lead and assist project teams in preparing construction documents, permit documents, and bidding documents
Lead Construction Administration tasks including checking shop drawings, samples, and submittals
Knowledge of major building systems and ability to proactively lead coordination with engineers to maintain design intent and project goals
Provide coaching and mentorship to support the professional development of junior staff
Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills

Requirements
Completion of five or six-year professional architectural degree program
10+ years’ experience in design development, architectural design, documentation, detailing; High-rise residential and Construction Administration experience is a plus
Ability to think and draw in 3D
Strong graphic skills and technical capability to critically think through the development of a design and its documentation
Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
High level of proficiency in multiple applications including Rhino, AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite Programs
