LEVER Architecture is mid-sized practice recognized for design excellence and innovative work with mass timber construction. Based in Portland, Oregon and Los Angeles, California the firm collaborates with communities and institutions to design buildings that elevate human experience and foreground social and climate justice. 

We are seeking a Graphic Designer with 3+ years of experience to work with the marketing team and support the design studio on special projects. In this role, you will work closely with marketing staff to design proposals, presentations, brochures, awards submissions, and web content. Beyond the day-to-day, there is an opportunity for a motivated individual to create their own special projects; examples of which might include designing custom books, making a series of animations, or an environmental installation. 

Responsibilities

  • Design proposals, brochures, and presentations
  • Create graphic content for firm website
  • Manage design awards submissions
  • Update and maintain proposals templates and presentation decks
  • Support the studio with the design of presentations and competition submissions as needed 

Desired skills and experience

  • Experience working with art or design-related organizations on print and digital campaigns
  • Fluency with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Takes ownership of work; feels confident in a deadline- and production-oriented role
  • Comfortable working independently and in the context of a small team
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and successfully complete long-term projects
  • Detailed oriented; understands the importance of thoughtful and accurate work
  • Genuine passion for contemporary architecture and design 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years relevant experience
  • Interest in ongoing learning and action to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the profession and community
  • This is a full-time position based in our Portland office, though remote candidates will be considered. Relocation stipends may be available for new employees moving to Oregon. 

Work Environment

  • LEVER is currently a hybrid office structure, with teams working in the office Tuesday-Thursday.
