We are seeking a talented, highly motivated architectural Media Specialist to join our team and play a pivotal role in evolving and promoting KSP’s national presence and communication efforts. The Media Specialist will support the Marketing and Communications (MarCom) Manager and the Partnership Group’s strategic marketing and business development efforts. The Media Specialist is poised under the pressure of fast-paced deadlines and has a positive, collaborative attitude. The ideal candidate has a passion for the industry, experience with all media (print/social/video), a strong graphic eye for visual communications, design, and layout, is a team player, a problem solver, dynamic writer, and a skilled project manager. The position is responsible for creating KSP brand awareness to various audiences which supports marketing, business development, and winning work.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Communications

  • Effectively creating brand awareness through custom development of visual and written media content that communicates the essence of KSP.
  • Develop and enhance media impact analytics utilizing data from our website and other digital platforms.
  • Analyze target audiences and complete market research.
  • Identify strategic targets related to social media, web, conference engagement, and public relations.
  • Lead content development.
  • Liaison for potential PR consultants and deliverables.
  • Produce high-quality marketing materials, newsletters, advertising, and digital content.
  • Prepare and execute materials for conferences, award submissions and speaking engagements.

Marketing Support

  • Assist with RFQ/RFP review process and maintain production and tracking tools.
  • Participate in the proposal kickoff / strategy session(s) and planning sessions.
  • Assist with developing the overall proposal strategy in a manner that is compliant with RFQ/RFP requirements and KSP objectives.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of resources and systems including CRM, contacts, and marketing drive.
  • Assist with the coordination of team members, outside consultants, and other stakeholders to identify and collect information needed and define key differentiators for assigned projects.
  • Support new business development activities including potential client and leads tracking.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 2-3 years of professional PR experience or relevant experience in Communications, Marketing, or Architecture.
  • Capable of taking initiative. A proactive self-starter with excellent organizational, technical, communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to change and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative and ambitious environment.
  • High attention to detail and an emphasis on quality.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Architecture or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Solid grasp of all basic public relations tools and how they are used to grow KSP’s market position and communications marketing goals.
  • Strong research, writing, storytelling and editing skills and the ability to develop media contacts and relationships. Ability to update KSP website.
  • Fundamental understanding of media outreach assignments, preparation and editing of press releases, PR campaigns, events and marketing initiatives.
  • Ability to apply experience and take initiative in developing appropriate traditional media and online media strategies.
  • Excellent creative experience in the production of quality graphics and professional layouts.
  • Experienced with social media management and content creation, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter (X), TikTok, Facebook, Vimeo/YouTube, and Pinterest.
  • Experience with website analysis tools, such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMRush.
  • Ability to stay current on industry trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Ability to create, revise and update graphic content, including photos, diagrams, renderings, and videos, acting as digital asset librarian/manager.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere Pro
