Sherwood Kypreos is a full-service boutique design firm focused mainly on high-end residential projects. We view projects holistically and take them from start to finish from construction through decoration and furnishing. We are seeking an Architect/Architectural Designer to join our team of designers. 

Position Duties/Description

• Design and Documentation: Create documents for projects from start to finish; design drawings, renderings, sketches, presentations, working drawings, product and material specifications.
• Permitting: Create permit documents and manage the approval process. 
• Project Coordination: Interface with clients, contractors, consultants, vendors, and fabricators, and be active in managing projects and the design process. 
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the interior designer and other team members to see projects through from concept to construction and installation. 

Skills and Experience

• Degree in Architecture and minimum 3 years of experience in architecture/ architectural design, including high-end residential projects
• Design-focused with a broad knowledge of historic and current references
• Able to make clear, detailed, high-quality drawings sets
• Able to produce renderings, hand drawings, sketches, and visual presentations to communicate design internally and to clients
• Skilled in AutoCad, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D modeling/rendering programs
• Experience in preparing permit documents and in the permit approval process
• Must be physically located in the Los Angeles area and have access to reliable transportation
