We are looking for an Architectural Designer to join our hybrid team in Long Island City, NY.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Architectural Designers are responsible for drafting 3D models, crafting design presentations, and ensuring that design intent & client needs are met throughout the life of the project. This role works directly with our Project Managers and Project Leader on both architecture and interior tasks. The typical day-to-day responsibilities for our Junior Designers include:
• Drafting 3D models via ArchiCAD & Twinmotion
• Crafting presentation slides via Illustrator & Photoshop
• Sourcing reference images for theme & material presentations
• Sourcing, organizing, & photographing physical material samples for client and studio library
• Effectively working on multiple projects at once
• Understanding DOB Requirements
• Understanding Construction Documents
REQUIREMENTS
• 2+ years of experience in a role as Junior Designer (or similar)
• 2+ of those years spent in wood framed residential construction
• 2+ years of experience working in ArchiCAD full time
• Experience working in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
• Strong ability to communicate effectively and respectfully
• Ability to work from our Long Island City studio 2-3 days/wk (minimum)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US
HIGHLY DESIRED
• Valid Driver’s License
EMPLOYMENT DETAILS
• This is a Full-Time position (40 hrs/wk)
• Hybrid remote/in-person environment with 3 days/wk in-studio
• Typical working hours are 9:00am - 6:00pm, Mon - Fri
• Salary Range between $55k - $75k
