ASHLEY SYSTEMS is an engineering firm that specializes in advanced sound systems design, enterprise IT, technical production & fabrication of bespoke HiFi loudspeakers. Our goal is to bridge the creative worlds of fashion, hospitality & the arts with physics and engineering.
Position Description
We are looking for an experienced architect to join our team and work with us on system design proposals. Working on behalf of ASHLEY SYSTEMS, you will be included on all communications with clients and their architecture firms and will communicate all necessary architectural specifics to the Engineering team. Once the system design is done, you will produce a final proposal that follows all professional, technical, and aesthetic standards.
Responsibilities and Duties
Prepare 2D and 3D presentation and design drawings for client meetings and project team design review
Assist Engineering team in systems design, proposal development, and implementation
Act as liaison between ASHLEY SYSTEMS and external architectural / construction firms
Interpret architectural floor plans and advise the Engineering team during design process
Produce 3D models from architectural assets supplied by clients and deliver to the Engineering team for speaker placement and acoustic simulation
Supply architectural and visual assets to the Engineering team for final proposals to clients.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree or higher in Architecture
Exceptional proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino and/or other CAD programs
Previous professional experience in an architectural firm, minimum of three years
Knowledge of NYC construction standards and codes
Interest in acoustics, high performance sound systems, and hospitality design
Compensation
Salary range is $65,000 to $80,000 depending on experience level and skill set. ASHLEY SYSTEMS offers comprehensive health care, 6 plus weeks of paid vacation and a profit sharing and employee ownership program.
