POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Project Manager/Architect is responsible for implementing, interpreting, organizing, and coordinating the project team to complete architectural projects and team assignments; responsible for content in drawings. Responsibilities include coordination with Project Designers, Principals & Studio Director to ensure that production, organization, & management of construction documents are in concert with design plan & the project team's work. Assists Project Manager in managing budget, schedules, staffing & conformance to contract. Communicates with consultants, contractors, sub-consultants & other disciplines to ensure execution of project details. Interacts with client to provide on-going information.

REPORTS TO:

President and Principals.

RELATIONSHIP TO OTHERS:

Works continuously with team members, clients and other professional disciplines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Represents the firm at public meetings.
  • Conducts meetings with architectural team, consultants and clients.
  • Produces & Coordinates schematic design, design development and construction documents.
  • Responsible for production scheduling of design team.
  • Keeps Presidents & Principals informed of changes in documents from prior assumptions.
  • Responsible for research / analysis of code requirements, materials selections, and construction techniques.
  • Possesses substantial knowledge of principles and techniques of personnel supervision of the architectural team and ability to work closely with all Engineering disciplines.
  • Other duties as assigned by President and Principals.

AUTHORITY/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervision of the architectural project team during production.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-10+ years experience
  • Revit expertise
  • Experience executing permit-ready construction documents
  • Contract Administration experience preferred
  • College Degree from an accredited B. Arch or M. Arch program
