MA|Architects, Inc. has a long-term opportunity in our Los Angeles & Albuquerque area office(s) for a Project Architect to support our expanding Healthcare portfolio for both Federal & Private sector projects. A willingness and desire to manage one or more projects simultaneously during schematic design through construction administration while understanding the need to nurture our junior staff for their growth to support our team.

Qualifications:

  • Possess an accredited degree in Architecture (Bachelor/Master’s Degree)
  • 5+ years of professional architectural experience
  • Licensed Architect (California preferred but not required)
  • Familiarity with healthcare facilities (OSHPD/HCAI/Federal Sector)
  • Construction Administration experience
  • AutoCad and Revit proficient for support of construction document development
  • Ability & desire to lead multiple small projects ($100K - $2million)
  • Ability to work within a team environment and lead by example
  • Effectively coordinate with consultants
  • Attention to detail with strong research skills
  • Assist with development & assessment of project scopes and design schedules.
  • Coordinate design work with the clients, internal team, design consultants, vendors, manufactures and regulatory agencies
  • Work with regulatory agencies (HCAI or Federal Government) for project approval
  • Contributes to project’s technical design effort, subsequent detailed design development, project coordination and quality control efforts during all phases of project work
  • Support the Construction process, including shop drawing review, response to RFIs, job site observations, preparation of Change Order documents and Post Approvals Documents

Specific responsibilities will include:
