DVLPR is seeking a highly motivated architect with strong design talent who is interested in innovative and concept-driven solutions.

The ideal candidate should be able to help put together a DD set proactively for a 10,000 SF ground up art related building. 

This position is a part-time role and can include a mix of remote and in-person work.

We are looking for a design architect ideally with experience in all phases to assist in the development, and production of all necessary documents, drawings, models, and images related to the architectural process. 

Candidate should be interested in a small firm experience.


  • Professional or Graduate Degree in Architecture
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in an architecture office
  • Strong conceptual, graphic, and design skills illustrated in a comprehensive portfolio
  • Strong AutoCAD skills
  • Strong rendering skills and experience with mapping materials using Rhino + Vray is a plus. Other visualization software preferences are ok
  • Experience working on projects in all phases
  • Confidence working collaboratively in a dynamic, international environment
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Ability to assist in the production and development of all necessary documents, drawings, models, images, schemes etc. related to the design and building process
  • Experience of working in construction documentation phases, (technical) detailing, project related material research, and complex problem solving on all scales
  • Fundamental understanding of the design process and the ability to create great architectural designs and translate these into a real building projects
  • Ability to liaise with consultants to assess design solutions and guarantee the integrity of the final design
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team
  • Licensed to practice architecture in the US (or in the process of licensure) is a plus

 DVLPR (pronounced developer) is a design studio committed to a proactive role for architectural practice. The studio’s portfolio encompasses a wide range of cultural, residential, and commercial projects including exhibition design, support for artists, scenography, and activism. For several years, culminating in 2022, the studio worked in close collaboration with Sub in Berlin on the worldwide rebranding of Balenciaga's architectural campaign and scenography for Paris fashion week. DVLPR works regularly at the intersection of art and architecture and has realized significant cultural projects with artists and institutions such as Kevin Beasley at the Whitney Museum of American Art, and Cady Noland at the Museum für Moderne Kunst. Most recently, the studio has completed a major commission with artist Timur Si-Qin at the newly opened Meta headquarters in New York.
