RHA is an accomplished, full-service architectural firm with extensive experience in high-end residential, commercial, and institutional design-- including new custom homes, remodels of all scales, multi-family developments, historic preservation & rehabilitation, urban infill mixed-use community hubs, and intimate artist/craftsperson installations. Working from historic Ballard Avenue for the last 20 years, our firm has experienced much growth in the last two years are looking for a Project Architect with 5 + years of professional experience to join our team. Our current work in progress involves several custom home projects from the greater Seattle area, all the way to Port Townsend and the Island Counties.

This is a full-time position with flexible hours and a hybrid model between in-office and remote work.


  • Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree required
  • 6-8 years of professional architecture experience
  • 4-6 years residential architectural experience
  • Licensed or currently on the path to licensure
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of construction documentation methods
  • Experience with Consultant Coordination, including Structural, Civil, Landscape, Lighting, Mechanical, Geotechnical and Surveyors
  • Strong technical expertise, and graphic skills including hand drafting is a plus.
  • Well-developed skills in all phases of design, production, and construction.
  • Must be highly motivated, independent worker, organized, detail-oriented, a collaborative and professional work ethic,
  • Excellent problem solving, written verbal and visual communication skills

We at RHA believe that the practice of architecture, while being challenging and satisfying, should also be enjoyable. Along with a relaxed and flexible attitude, we highly value work-life balance and can offer flexible hours. While some RHA staff prefer to work 32hr/weeks (or 4 day/weeks), while others prefer the traditional 40hr/wk. Compensation is negotiable based on level of experience.
