Farouki Farouki is a small but ambitious architecture and interior design practice based in New Orleans with a growing portfolio of design-driven hospitality, restaurant and bar, and multi-family projects nationwide and internationally.

Prior to founding their practice, Caroline Farouki worked on hospitality and retail projects at the New York City studios AvroKO and Pompei A.D. Sabri Farouki worked on a wide range of cultural and mixed-use projects as an architect at Bjarke Ingels Group, Diller Scofidio + Renfro, and SHoP Architects.

We are seeking talented candidates in the Los Angeles market who would like to work for our studio remotely.  Our needs right now are full-time, and the duration is flexible.

In an ideal world, a candidate is Los Angeles-based now but interested in relocating and growing with our studio locally.

An ideal candidate is currently working with or has worked with a design-driven practice in a major US market and has a developed design sensibility and a breadth of creative and technical resources.

Job Requirements:

• Develop thoughtful, cohesive and unique furniture concepts derived from inspiration images
• Model furniture at a DD-level of detail and to-scale in Rhino 3D
• Exhibit a strong understanding of furniture scale, proportion, and ergonomic comfort
• Exhibit a strong understanding of contract durability when it comes to furniture and fabric selections
• Experience with design and documentation of custom rugs, carpets, and millwork
• Be proficient in writing furniture and material specs using an interior design spec program such as DesignSpec or similar
• Experience with reviewing shop drawings and material submittals
• Develop furniture budgets with trade pricing
