S9 Architecture is seeking an Interior Architect/Designer to support the Studio's interior design projects. This person will be responsible for working directly with Design Principals, to design exceptional interior spaces and experiences. As a Designer you will collaborate with the Director of Interior Architecture and various design teams, aid in presentations to Clients and help integrate work with technical consultants. Should possess exceptional design skills and be highly capable at communicating design narratives. This position requires that you work closely with the firm’s leadership and with Clients, project managers, architects, and maintain good relationships with external representatives and suppliers. 

The ideal candidate must meet the following responsibilities and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
• 8 to 10 years of post-graduate, professional experience in an Interior Design or Architectural office in an Interior Design/Architecture capacity
• Experience defining, developing, and delivering creative concepts according to creative brief requirements set by the Director of Interior Architecture and S9 leadership.
• Assist in the leadership and day to day development of design from Concept through Design Development phases and present to Client groups,
• Have relevant design experience in both small and large scale projects.
• Significant experience selecting, and specifying furniture, fixtures, and equipment,
• Must have the ability to effectively present ideas (both verbally and visually)
• Ability to develop numerous solutions to design direction and take direction, feedback, and observations with a positive attitude
• Be able to work and liaise across all departments to produce the best response to creative briefs
• Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision
• Proficiency in Rhino, AutoCAD, Adobe CS, (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Proficiency in hand sketching and diagramming.
• Good color sense and ability to create color palettes
• Have good graphic design skills
• Proficiency in Revit and Enscape is desired
• Ability to produce strong conceptual design narratives
• Ability to adapt to new and complex situations
• Design curious – must be passionate, observant, and self-motivated
