Diller Scofidio + Renfro is a 100-person interdisciplinary design studio based in New York that works across the fields of architecture, visual arts, and the performing arts.

The studio is seeking a Communications Coordinator. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team that is responsible for communicating DS+R’s ethos and portfolio of work, which focuses on civic and cultural works that include the High Line, Lincoln Center, The Shed, the Museum of Modern Art and the Broad, as well as a number of art installations, exhibitions and performance works. This position reports to the Director of Communications and will require reporting to our Chelsea studio in-person to collaborate with the team.

 The Communications Coordinator is expected to:

 Field and fulfill press requests and inquiries

• Field and fulfill exhibition requests and inquiries
• Monitor press coverage and produce press summaries
• Maintain the studio’s online presence, including the website, YouTube channel, Linkedin and Instagram  
• Manage awards submissions
• Research speaking engagements
• Track and supporting firm events and staff engagements including project openings and studio tours
• Continuously update the studio database (physical and digital)
• Continuously maintain and update the studio’s contact databases

 Qualifications:

• Interest in the visual and performing arts, design and urbanism
• Understanding of DS+R’s work and perspective
• Exceptional verbal and written English; other languages are a plus
• Editing and proofreading skills
• Experience in website management (CMS), or interest and ability to learn
• Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in related fields
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, or an interest to learn is a plus
• Relevant professional communications or marketing experience (preferred)
• Experience in the architecture, engineering or construction industry (preferred)
