Revit Technicians at Bora develop creative assets and maintain standards to ensure cohesion through document sets and modeling strategies. This includes Bora’s internal standards, industry best practices, and platform requirements as well as responding to project specific conditions and external client demands. The Revit Technician is responsible for assisting staff on project teams in the development of custom Revit families, complex element modeling and managing views and documentation as well as supporting staff with training and updating Bora process documentation.

Preferred Background and Skills

  • AA or Revit Certificate in Revit software with demonstrated strong modeling skills
  • Understands BIM Collaborate Pro
  • Can create complex 3D families
  • Autodesk Revit Certification with 2+ years of experience
  • Experience working in an AEC industry firm / professional office
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize workflow with the help of senior team members
  • Effective communication skills and willingness to train / support staff knowledge growth
  • Exceptional initiative and follow-through skills
  • Eager to learn, able to receive constructive feedback
  • Experience with software used for sustainability analysis, clash detection, point cloud integration, etc. in Revit

Roles and Responsibilities

Direct Project Work:

  • Assist with project start-up in Revit and documentation framework
  • Responsible for training staff on current practices and procedures to efficiently produce quality project deliverables.
  • Develop project-specific elements ranging from kit of parts to single, multi-faced families to accelerate design investigations, expedite repetitive tasks
  • Reinforce the QA/QC process by distributing real-time updates to project teams and models.
  • Monitor and maintain model health and performance

Firmwide Support:

  • Assist and support in the development and training of Bora BIM best practices
  • Prepare instructional material to be shared with staff highlighting new Revit / template features. 
  • Support the Bora Template by incorporating changes and monitoring submissions to the Bora Content Library for performance and conformance with standards.

Research and Resource Development:

  • Research emerging trends and technologies in BIM
  • Identify opportunities for improvement to Bora’s internal process, application and integration of Revit into our project work
