Studio JYO is a small but growing firm focused on modern interiors for high-end residences. We work with clients and architects, entering the project at various phases in the design process, to offer services in FF&E, art procurement, and interior architecture (kitchens, fireplaces, bathrooms, etc.) 

We are seeking a talented interior designer / architect to join our team as a full-time Project Designer. Individuals with 3+ years of experience with strong design sense, excellent graphic skills, and experience working at high-end residential design firms are encouraged to apply. The best fit will be someone who is highly motivated and independent, wanting to be involved in all phases of interior design and interior architecture. You will be assisting the Principal as a Project Designer on multiple projects. A strong grasp of detailed, quality design and graphics while working efficiently is a must. 

Additional requirements are as follows:

- Must already live in San Francisco or willing to commute to San Francisco for showroom visits and team meetings. 

- Very strong AutoCAD and Photoshop skills. InDesign and Sketch Up skills are a must as well. Revit and Rhino experience is a plus.

- Considerable working experience in all phases of project design and construction as well as furnishing.

- Knowledge in construction documents such as interior elevations, finish schedule, plumbing schedule, lighting schedule, and construction details.

- High level of detail orientation with the ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks

- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture is required 

- Valid driver's license and access to a car (mileage will be reimbursed)

- Excellent work ethic, positive demeanor, and “do it yourself” attitude is a must!

We work out of our home office in the Twin Peaks neighborhood of San Francisco, sticking to a regular Monday through Friday work week. We believe strongly in good mentoring, but it should be noted that as we are a growing firm, there will be a considerable amount of self-sufficiency required to fit in with our small team and project schedules.

All employees must be vaccinated. We are currently working remotely, but team meetings are held in person on a weekly basis and employees will be required to come into the office as needed.
