We are seeking a talented Senior Architect to join our studio.  The candidate will work directly with partners and Project Manager and will be focused on the construction administration of our award-winning project in NYC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works closely with the Project Manager to ensure project team is adhering to schedule and maintaining the original design intent.
  • Communicates regularly with consultants and team members to ensure documents are coordinated; identifies issues that affect design and works closely with the Project Manager to propose solutions.
  • Interface with client, ASA team members, ASA consultants, and CM staff members
  • Review shop drawing submissions and respond to Requests for Information (RFI)
  • Participate in resolution of construction issues
  • Prepare and issue construction Bulletins using Revit
  • Review documents for code compliance
  • Attend on-site project meetings
  • Assist with the review requests for change/field orders
  • Perform punch-lists and close-out tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience
  • Architectural license in New York State
  • Hands-on proficiency and fluency with Revit is required
  • Experience with US government agencies preferred
  • Must have solid conceptual and design process skills and good problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated Construction Administration experience
  • Strong technical experience with building systems including MEP coordination
  • Effective written and verbal skills – ability to hand sketch is a plus
  • Ability to operate effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Working knowledge of applicable codes, laws, rules, and standards regulating design and construction
  • Ability to work in multi-tasks and operate under deadline-driven schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively create presentations and communicate concepts to clients and team members using strong representation skills
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and precision and with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines, completing tasks as previously defined.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
