SENIOR PROJECT ARCHITECT

Studio PCH is currently seeking a candidate for our Sr. Project Architect role with 5+ years of experience.

Applicants for the Project Architect position should have experience in hospitality and residential projects. The hired candidate will have a background in coordinating and developing construction documents, along with construction administration experience. The elected candidate, in concert with the Project Managers, will play a major role by supervising the work of the team, focused on design, development, and timely delivery of the deliverables for all phases of a project.

 The candidate should work with autonomy and be responsible for leading all phases of the project.

The applicant must have strong communication and literacy skills to coordinate efficiently with contractors, consultants, vendors, and clients.

Salary commensurate with the education level completed, professional experience, and demonstrated knowledge.  Full benefits package included.  Proximity to Los Angeles required. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Professional Degree (B. Arch or M. Arch)

  • 5+  years of professional experience in hospitality and residential project types, in all phases of design and construction, with the ability to work independently

  • Detailed knowledge of construction methods, construction documents, and wide-ranging knowledge of architectural practice and construction in general

  • Direct and organize work tasks to be performed in collaboration with Project Manager / Project Designer / Intermediate and Junior team members

  • Minimum 2 years experience working as a Project Manager with on-site experience, following construction of projects from beginning to end. Excellent project delivery experience, including construction documentation and construction administration 

  • Produce and comprehend architectural redlines and efficiently produce documents and revisions.

  • Clearly organize drawing sets for planning/development, design reviews, and building department submittals

  • Is effective in time management and is able to oversee and lead several projects simultaneously

  • Excellent communication skills, be well-spoken, and can communicate effectively with clients and vendors

  • Oversee quality control and ensure compliance with project scope and budget

  • Great organizational management skills

  • Highly proficient in AutoCAD, with building codes and Zoning Resolution a plus

  • US and CA Architectural registration is preferred

  • Is authorized to work in the USA
