Alo Architecture and Store Design Team is looking for a dynamic individual to join the team in designing and executing future store locations. The Store Designer will be expected to be a team player with a strong design sensibility and strong communication skills.


  • Completes store designs with internal/external stakeholders to ensure overall alignment of design plans & build outs
  • Complete construction drawings and/or work with exterior architects to complete
  • Plan / check design drawings to ensure design intent is followed by assigned architects.
  • Ensure designs meet company and landlord design criteria, and that construction documents comply with architectural and quality standards, building codes and health. and safety regulations.
  • Inputs construction budget and ensure projects meet requirements including costs, quality and timelines
  • Oversee/assist Contract bidding and selection process
  • Works with construction project managers/contractors for each project to develop solutions for construction/scheduling challenges
  • Coordinate with various internal departments, including Tenant Supplied Material Manager and operations to ensure project execution
  • Assist with landlord communications on all projects
  • Assist with real estate queries and pre-lease/lease negotiations related to design and construction
  • Responsible for the proper preparation for internal approval presentations that include 3D Interior Renderings, Sample Boards and Storefront Elevations where needed.
  • On-site inspection when required
  • Other services required from time to time and requested by representatives of the Company


  • Retail experience required
  • Bachelor or Master of Architecture is preferable
  • Candidate should have a general knowledge of building codes and standards
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably working in all phases of design.
  • Candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit, Sketchup/V-ray or other 3-modeling software.
