Architect/Project Manager/Designer, 3-5 Years of Experience

The firm of Lorin Hill, Architect is a small firm that provides architectural and interior design services primarily for new homes and comprehensive residential renovations and additions throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, with an emphasis on high-quality design and creative solutions. 

We are located in North Oakland, near the Ashby BART station. As we transition back from work-from-home we will be spending at least two days per work in the office. In the meantime we support working remotely during the current pandemic conditions.

We are looking for a talented, ambitious Architect or Designer to be part of our team. The small office environment means this position offers involvement in all phases of projects, with immediate opportunities for hands-on experience and substantial professional growth. We value versatility, flexibility and creative yet pragmatic problem-solving.

The applicant must have significant experience in high-end residential design. The Architect or Designer will work with the Principal and Senior Design Associates to track project progress, schedules and budgets, as well as be the shared point of contact with consultants, contractors and clients on specific projects. The role will involve project design development as well as document production and construction administration. Other responsibilities may include participation in sales and marketing, and assistance with social media presence and website content management.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with flexible working conditions, and an excellent opportunity to join a design-oriented architectural practice and grow with firm.  Compensation range is competitive, and benefits include employee healthcare coverage, paid vacation and holidays, and discretionary bonuses.

We are seeking applicants with the following attributes:

·         Accredited degree in architecture

·         High degree of proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit

·         Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office

·         Ability to prioritize workload while working towards completion of multiple tasks and projects

·         Comfortable with freehand drawing and overlay sketching
