We are currently seeking an energetic, confident, and highly motivated Intermediate Architectural Project Manager to join our IRVINE, CA office. Qualified candidates will demonstrate experience in urban infill development, with a focus on residential architecture at all scales. This experienced professional will serve as the primary client contact, and will have full responsibility for proactively managing all aspects of exciting new projects, bringing the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the client’s satisfaction.

In response to COVID-19, our staff may be temporarily working from home in accordance with local county and state government orders. On occasion during shelter-in-place, project staff may still be required to visit active job sites (while following COVID regulations). New employees will be supported with virtual onboarding and  training, as well as online collaborative tools. We anticipate that employees will return to their respective office locations once restrictions are lifted and DAHLIN determines it is safe to do so. Therefore, prospective candidates for this position should be prepared to commute as needed to our San Diego office and/or job sites in Southern California.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and coordinate all project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects through all phases of development, including Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration for projects
  • Estimate fees, determine scope of work, prepare proposals and contracts, and monitor adherence to terms
  • Actively manage client budgets, schedules and programs, project communications, documentation, and project team assignments
  • Serve as primary contact liaison to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the client’s satisfaction.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

    • Substantial experience in using project management tools for project initiation, planning, billings, and tracking labor
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
    • Self-confident; tenacious while maintaining positive working relationships with clients, outside consultants, and technical staff
    • Able to effectively and positively provide direction and lead architectural staff
    • Strong skills and talent in SketchUp modeling, AutoCAD, and Revit/BIM

     

    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, & CERTIFICATIONS:

    • 5+ years of demonstrated experience coordinating all project efforts, administrative and technical, through all phases of development including Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration for projects
    • Graduate of a NAAB accredited 4 or 5 year architecture school
    • Commitment to their own professional growth
