Design, Bitches is looking for a well-rounded Designer who is highly creative, driven and possesses strong technical skills. We are looking for a candidate who will work collaboratively within our team on various projects and phases from conceptual design through construction. The ability to shift gears seamlessly between a wide variety of tasks is a must. The ideal candidate for this position is a highly motivated, flexible, detail-oriented and cooperative problem solver with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.

Required Qualifications:

  • Professional degree in Architecture (BARCH) from an accredited institution + 2 to 3 years of full-time architectural office experience in schematic design through construction document phases in progressive, design-focused firms. OR
  • Professional degree in Architecture (MARCH) from an accredited institution +1 to 2 years off full-time architectural office experience in schematic design through construction document phases in progressive, design-focused firms.  OR
  • Candidates with both an MARCH and undergraduate degrees in architecture or related design fields may be considered with less than 1 year of full-time office experience.
  • Licensure candidacy preferred 
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the broader team, design and execute multiple projects simultaneously from concept through completion, and potentially lead smaller sized residential and commercial projects
  • Assist Senior Designers/Project Managers with project management responsibilities, helping to ensure good client communication and quality control
  • Work closely with the project team, consultants, contractors, and agency officials
  • Produce presentation drawings, diagrams, and renderings using Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Enscape, Maxwell/V-Ray, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to self-edit work and command a high level of accuracy
  • Efficiently & proactively research materials, products, and building systems throughout the design and construction phases
  • Produce a full set of construction/working drawings in coordination with senior designers/project managers and consultants
  • Participate in client and consultant coordination on larger projects and serve as primary consultant contact on smaller projects
  • Ensure fulfillment of all contractual requirements for professional services on smaller projects
  • Exceptional design sense with strong graphic & technical skills
  • Fluency in  Revit, Autodesk and Adobe Suite programs; experience creating presentation materials
  • Interest and passion for all scales of architectural design, from ground-up buildings to interiors, custom furniture & environmental graphics.
  • Desire to continually learn new skills 
  • Able to take direction and initiative with minimal supervision
