Method Co. is an innovator and leader in the development and operation of hospitality projects around the country. Based in Philadelphia, Method owns and operates its own brand of fully furnished apartment hotels under the name “ROOST Apartment Hotel” and is in the process of a nationwide expansion. Method also operates the furnished apartment brand “Whyle” and several high quality restaurants including Hiroki & Wm Mulherins & Sons in Fishtown, Philadelphia.

Method is currently seeking talented, highly motivated applicants for a permanent Interior Architect/Architect position. The Interior Architect will join a small, dynamic development team currently designing and managing some of the most exciting hospitality projects in the country and expanding the Method portfolio. The Interior Architect will report to Method’s Creative Director & Director of Projects and be able to assist with all aspects of the commercial interior design process, including design, space planning, programming, concept development, color and material selection, FF&E, vendor/supplier and contractor management. The successful candidate will be involved in the complete spectrum of Method projects, from research to detailed design to implementation of projects on site.   • Knowledge & skill in luxury residential or hospitality space planning, developing and preparing furniture plans, reflected ceiling and finish floor plans, interior elevations and finish schedules, FF&E specifications and budgets
  • Communicate conceptual design ideas through 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings and renderings
  • Work with Method’s collaborative Creative Team to develop innovative design narratives and concepts which are reflective of brand standards
  • Support architecture, design, and development initiatives for Method’s holistic design process and assist the firm’s designers and principal
  • Direct the activities of on-site and off-site consultants
  • Responsible for placing supply and sample orders to maintain materials library & resource catalogs
  • Responsible for design boards and image research that meet brand standards
  • Participate in the construction administration of projects, including review of submittals and finish samples as well as value engineering efforts to maintain design intent
  • Communicate with other disciplines, designers, consultants, fabricators, vendors, and contractors to successfully deliver project drawings or requirements


  • A degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, Architecture or similar
  • Preferable 4-6 years’ experience in high-end residential, food & beverage, hotels and related hospitality projects
  • High level conceptual, design and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong proficiency in 3D modeling programs including Sketchup, Revit & SolidWorks
  • Proficiency in creating presentation materials within the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Outstanding project management skills
