Mork-Ulnes Architects, with offices in Oslo, Norway and San Francisco, seeks a full-time and highly-motivated Lead Architect / Designer to join our San Francisco office.

The Position The candidate will be involved in design, research, driving client and consultant interactions, design presentations, preparation of reports, project management / fee tracking, construction observation, marketing / business development.

Qualifications & requirements include: 

• An accredited professional architecture degree: B.Arch, M.Arch. preferred
• 5-7 years of experience in an architecture firm
• CA Licensure or enrollment with NCARB, or active pursuit of licensure.
• Motivation to continually strive for design excellence 
• Positive attitude  
• Great collaborator 
• Excellent communication skills 
• Good project management skills 
• Strong organization skills and the ability to manage one’s own time 
• Experience working on all phases of an architectural project 
• Comprehensive understanding of building codes and entitlements process 
• Passion for details 
• Strength in graphic/visual representation 
• Strong drafting, 3D modeling, and presentation skills.  Vectorworks and Rhino helpful but not required. 
• Willingness to take on new challenges and learn, and work independently
• Candidate should be comfortable managing people and enjoy mentoring younger designers and interns.
