West of West is an emerging and fast-growing design studio that challenges ideas, starts conversations, and pursues design with a fresh perspective. We need a talented and motivated Project Designer with 2-4 years of experience to join our Los Angeles office.

As Project Designer, you will tackle a wide range of tasks in all project phases from Concept development through Construction Documents. You will work closely with studio leaders on design-driven projects across the U.S.

What you’ll do:

  • Feasibility studies, including municipal code and massing analysis
  • 3d modeling and development of design concepts
  • Production of high-quality renderings, presentation materials, and physical models
  • Work closely with the project team to produce working drawings for all phases of construction

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong design talent and visual aesthetic
  • 2-4 years of experience in a notable architecture firm
  • The ability to organize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent knowledge of Rhino, AutoCAD, Vray, and Adobe Creative Suite (Revit is a plus)
  • A hungry, humble, and positive attitude
  • A strong, self-motivated work ethic and commitment to great design   
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • An accredited  B.Arch or M.Arch degree
  • Proof of U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the United States

The studio operates in Portland and Los Angeles.
