Goshow Architects seeks Project Architects to join our team in New York City.

Goshow Architects is a women-owned small business dedicated to design for the public good.  With a wide range of city, state, and federal clients, Goshow has a portfolio of high-quality public sector jobs.  

Our Project Architects are intermediate level design professional who act as team leaders responsible for both technical and design aspects of our projects.  They develop high-quality design and construction documents through hands-on work and delegation of both in-house staff and consultants.  Strong leadership skills and the ability to multi-task are important qualities for our Project Architects.  

Desired Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in an architectural office preparing construction documents; public sector experience preferred;
  • Developing and designing custom details;
  • Developing, organizing, and exercising quality control over drawings;
  • Consultant coordination and ability to recognize deficiencies in consultant provided content;
  • Material research and meeting with vendors to understand materials and products;
  • Experience in “redlining” drawings and delegating production work;
  • Awareness of project deadlines, fees, and contractual obligations;
  • Oversight and mentorship of junior level staff;
  • Organizing and leading site visits and field surveys; 

Desired Skills / Education / Certifications

  • Professional degree in Architecture required (B.Arch or M.Arch);
  • Strong communication & organizational skills;
  • Strong time management skills;
  • Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit;
  • Strong understanding of NYC/NYS codes and NYC zoning regulations;
  • Strong knowledge of building construction, materials, and systems;
  • Licensed Architects preferred; licensure candidates will be considered;
  • LEED Accredited preferred.
