We are currently looking for a driven and hard-working Job Captain (Residential), interested in being part of a fast-paced work environment and becoming a new member of our team-oriented atmosphere.

Our Los Angeles based office is an open environment in which senior personnel interact directly with team members in a fast paced design environment. Collaboration and cooperation are emphasized together with personal responsibility and professional growth. Excellence is pursued in every aspect of our work.

Primary responsibilities of the position:

  • Successful candidates will be responsible for preparation of the design, interior design and construction documents on single family residential projects in cooperation with senior staff.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with contemporary residential projects in Los Angeles.
  • Strong understanding of UBC and CBC.
  • Ability to carry design concepts to fruition while meeting metrics for schedule and budget.
  • Have an excellent working understanding of consultant drawings and their systems.
  • Ability to prepare complete working documents within a team environment.
  • Ability to prepare complete interior package including concept and mood boards, interior elevations, etc.
  • Proficient in use of building materials & related Type V construction techniques.
  • Possess excellent organizational skills (prioritize & multi-task).
  • Excellent communication skills.

Computer Skills:

  • Organize and manage computer generated documents in Revit, minimum of 3 years of Revit experience.
  • Prepare construction documents in the compliance with company Revit standards.
  • Manage, track and up-date all Revit files and consultant backgrounds.
  • Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD 2013 & Sketchup experience is a plus.
  • Licensed or in the process of becoming licensed is a plus

Education:

Bachelors’ Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
