Kelly Wearstler is looking for an energetic, detail-oriented Interior Designer who works well independently and in a fast-paced group setting. The Interior Architect will work seamlessly with the design team in overseeing and managing long-term, high-end residential and hospitality projects from concept through project completion.

DUTIES

•Leading the project through all phases of the design process; acting as point of contact for clients and external consultants as well as actively pushing the project through these phases

•Concepting, pitching and presenting design ideas both to the internal team and to clients

•Leading the creation of construction drawing sets; including but not limited to, specifications, technical production, and basic code knowledge.

•Developing and resolving design details through CAD or similar drawing packages.

•Preparing renderings, sketches and other forms of visual communication for client presentations and internal reviews

•Ensuring that the design is executed as envisioned, the ideal candidate must have a meticulous eye for detail, exceptional communication skills, and a steadfast attitude towards successful implementation. Whether this is through responding to RFI’s or on-site discussions with clients, contractors or vendors.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

•4-6 years experience in interiors or architecture and a degree from an accredited school of interior design or architecture.

•Must have excellent communication and presentation skills; verbal, written, sketching or otherwise.

•Knowledge of the full design process including Concept, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction Administration, Procurement, and Installation.

•Must have strong AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) SketchUp, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam skills.

•Substantial hand sketching and rendering ability.

•LEED accreditation a plus.
