Overview

We are looking for a mature professional to fill the Staff Accountant/Administrative Assistant position in our West Los Angeles office.

The position will report directly to the Director of Accounting, fulfilling specific position responsibilities as well as providing support to the Director of Accounting when needed. This position offers room for growth and increased responsibilities.

The candidate must be proactive, demonstrate ability to work independently in a fast pace environment with great follow through habits and attention to detail, must have in-depth working knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, a good team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a self-starter to hit the ground running.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • Experience with cost and/or project accounting
  • Knowledge of Excel is required
  • Familiarity with accounting software (Clearview) is preferred

Job Responsibilities

  • Accounts payable
  • Maintain A/P aging report
  • Accounts receivable
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Expense tracking
  • Manage monthly reports, and communicate status of accounts with upper management
  • Maintain personnel files
  • Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies
  • Project Accounting
  • Assist in maintaining various Excel reports as needed
  • Process check requests
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
  • Participate in identifying & making improvements to AP-related processes and workflows
  • Issuing yearly 1099’s
  • General administrative support
