as junior designer, you see the work through a design lens, but are also technically proficient, especially in revit, and organized to a fault. the right candidate is resourceful, flexible and thinks creatively. you have experience working on projects from concept through design, detailing, and final documentation. junior designers are well-versed in technical, code, and sustainable design practices.

working collaboratively with the entire brick. team, the junior designer is able to switch between projects at different scales, and adapts well to varied work styles and personalities. they are not timid about sharing or presenting their ideas and are able to articulate those ideas visually using the latest technology. junior designers are deadline oriented, speak up, ask questions to keep their work on track, and are eager to jump in and create.

qualifications

  • bachelor's degree in architecture (m.arch preferred).
  • 2-5 years of experience in an architecture office (internships not counted).
  • working knowledge of revit to produce documents is strongly desired. autocad and other 3d modeling software (sketchup/rhino/3d max) desired. lumion a plus.
  • strong design, technical detailing, coordination, rendering, and presentation skills.
  • proficiency in microsoft office suite and bluebeam revu.
  • fluency with adobe creative suite.
  • excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills.
  • team oriented. desire to work in a collaborative environment with design team, clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • candidates must have unrestricted authorization to work in the u.s.

tasks

  • pickup redlines.
  • find precedent images.
  • look up building code.
  • assist in bid coordination.
  • complete zoning and code project template and review with project lead.
  • assist project lead with drawing and sketches.
  • assist in coordinating project drawings with consultants.
  • complete assigned modeling tasks.
  • assist in design visualization.
  • communications with project stakeholders.
  • archive revit model after each project deliverable deadline.
  • save project revit families to the project specific families folder on the server.
