LCM has immediate openings for in-house, full-time Accessibility Specialists at various levels of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Review architectural/engineering plans and specifications for compliance with accessibility codes and standards
  • Perform on-site peer review for projects under construction
  • Conduct comprehensive accessibility surveys of existing sites and buildings
  • Prepare detailed reports documenting observed deficiencies
  • Up to 25% nationwide travel may be required

Qualifications

  • Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or related field
  • Prior architectural and/or engineering work experience
  • Basic knowledge of the accessibility standards of the ANSI A117.1, the 2010 ADA Standards, and the Fair Housing Act
  • The following licenses, certifications and registrations considered a plus: licensed architect or engineer, Certified Access Specialist program (CASp), Registered Accessibility Specialist, Certified Accessibility Inspectors/Plan Examiner
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, verbal and writing skills
  • Ability to work independently or on a large team
