New York City Architecture firm seeks architectural designer to work in a dynamic, diverse and design-focused environment.

This position will give the right applicants the opportunity to participate in all phases of high end, design-oriented residential, commercial and retail projects from start to finish. The position involves working directly with the principals and depending on the level of experience may work directly with contractors, consultants, and clients. 

We are looking for the right candidates to grow with the firm and expand their responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Participate and contribute to design discussion, idea generation and design work in drawing, model and 3D image formats. 
  • Working with the principals and project managers on different phases of the project. 
  • Responsible for preparing presentation drawings and models and developing designs and technical solutions throughout all phases of the project. 
  • Generate revisions and corrections from outline mock-ups, redline drawings and project document sets 
  • Manage data on various cloud based platforms and related file sharing sites. 
  • Work on misc. presentation materials for the office

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture required.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks. Working knowledge of Photoshop, In Design and Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of commercial/retail construction desired
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical drawings. 
  • Strong design skills and ability to think "outside the box"
  • Minimum of 1-2 years recent and relevant architectural experience required. Experience in NYC architectural offices preferred
  • Construction administration experience beneficial
  • Technical knowledge and detailing skills beneficial
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment to produce deliverables on time with little to no guidance, while working on multiple simultaneous projects 
  • Excellent intrapersonal skills and good vibes.
  • Must be a US Citizen, green card holder and/or have a US visa for legal work in US
