Office Operations Manager (Full-time)

INTERSTICE Architects is a dual-discipline, team-oriented, and nationally distinguished architecture and landscape architecture studio working primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area.  IA’s projects range from work in commercial, institutional and custom residential architecture to multi-family mixed use, including civic and public landscape architecture, as well as extensive installation and interior design projects.  Central interests expressed in the firm’s work are high-performing and unique place making, material innovation, and a commitment to research and infrastructure design integrating sustainability as fundamental to every project, with an emphasis on distinctive detailing.

INTERSTICE is seeking an Operations Manager for our San Francisco office. The successful candidate will be friendly and possess a sense of humor, enthusiastic, highly organized, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities and Role:

  • Office support & reception for daily business operations
  • Perform administrative support tasks as assigned by Principals & Studio staff
  • Organize Physical office: maintaining tidy work & conference spaces, organize & update materials library, workshop, digital & physical files.
  • Maintain supplies inventory and office print library. 
  • Acquire Materials & Supplies - renew inventory of office supplies & consumables
  • Oversee operation of office equipment
  • Word processing and proofreading
  • Update to website, blog and social media accounts on regular basis
  • Manage Database for contact list & email newsblasts


  • Friendly, outgoing self-starter that enjoys a busy environment
  • Excellent references
  • Interest in Art, Design, or Environmental Fields
  • College Degree, or Degree in progress
  • Office administration experience desirable
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Accurate, accountable & detail-oriented individual
  • Desire to work in a local, small business environment
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Comprehension of scanning and document creation
  • Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills highly desired

Position available immediately.

This is a full-time position (part-time may be possible at min. 24 hours/week), approximately 8 am – 5 pm.
