We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic individuals with a minimum of 5 years architectural experience to lead the completion of Construction Documents for existing projects about to enter the Construction Phase.
We are also seeking candidates that will lead new projects about to start in 2019 for high end luxury residential single/multi family projects. These projects are in concept design and will start SD/DD phase with generating drawings in AutoCad and 3D (Rhino, Sketch, 3D Max) to file for Planning Department or Building/Safety Approvals.
The ideal candidates will have a well rounded architectural experiences in small to medium size offices and a demonstrated passion for excellence in design. They should also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, very good organizational skills, and be able to multitask on multiple assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
Construction detailing and documentation.
Generate red lines for coordination and drafting by others
Preparation of detailed millwork/cabinetry and interior construction details
Preparation of lighting schedules/fixture schedule cut sheet book for bidding
Preparation of finish plans/finish details in sketch or digital files for bidding
Coordinating DD/CD drawings with engineering consultants and finalizing details for construction sets.
Coordination of Building Department plan check process with the completion of all correction/clearances
Self directed preparation of SD/DD/CD sets from sketches and concept plans for new projects
Ability to coordinate with C, S, MEP engineering consultants to keep/monitor schedules
Qualifications:
Single Family Luxury Residential, Multi family, commercial/retail, hospitality (hotel/restaurant) experience
DD/CD experience as Job Captain/Project Architect
Construction Administration experience
Demonstrated pursuit of excellence in design.
Bachelor of Architecture Degree.
Revit trained and work experience an asset.
Must have working knowledge of current versions of AutoCAD, Revit and exposure to 3D Max, Rhino, SketchUp and CS Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) is an asset.
