Junior Interior Designer

D' Apostrophe Design is looking to hire a talented and hardworking  Intermediate - Junior Interior Designer to work alongside our design team on various projects ranging from high-end residential/ hospitality/ retail. Applicants should be a highly motivated and enthusiastic with a drive to take on multiple responsibilities while enjoying being a part of various aspects of working within a design firm.

Tasks will range from research, drafting, sourcing, presentations, FFE schedules, FFE orders, and general office support. Under direction of the Design Director, candidates will be involved on several projects with varying design phases.

Qualified candidate to meet the following criteria:
• Proactive, flexible, organized, ability to meet project timelines.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and rendering (Adobe programs: Photoshop/ Illustrator/ InDesign) and/ or 3D modeling (Sketch-Up, Rhino, VRay) a plus.
• Produce floor plans and elevations and custom furniture drawings.
• General research for projects and presentations.
• Assist with administrative documents (tracking orders/ coordination/ updating FFE schedule)
• Assist with maintaining data from meetings/ vendors.
• Helps organize materials library.
• Takes interest in concepts/ design/ and general flow of furniture ordering/ coordination.
• Familiarity with sources for vendors/ galleries a plus.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
• Assist in preparation of interior designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and working drawings
• Occasional field work may be required to gather building measurements and other data in order to create interior design plans and specifications
• Assist senior-level designers with development of design solutions, perform site surveys, and maintain resource materials
• Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member
• BIM-Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp Pro, Adobe Creative Suites, or other related software experience

Other requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design/Architecture or other related field required/continuing education within related field
• Minimum degree of BA in Interior Design.
• Strong verbal and written communication sensibilities.
• Authorize to work in USA.
• Lives currently in the metropolitan area.
